End of Year Recap and Looking Ahead

It's been another beautiful year of piano! From performances to composing, theory games and prizes for practice charts, we've been a busy studio. I have been floored by the progress of these amazing musicians, and excited to see them continue to grow.

This year, the students accomplished a ton on the piano! Including:

• TWO recitals
• The Bowen Young Musician's Festival
• Composing their own song
• Learning about classical composers
• Learning at least one classical piece outside of their lesson book

While the kids have grown - my studio has improved as well! This year, I was able to implement:

• A program where students have the chance to win a free piano book on the spinner each month.
• Improved piano practice game kits for all incoming students.
• Personalized music history lessons about each composer chosen by the students for their recital pieces.
• Recital Bingo
• A new Christmas music theory board game.

Moving ahead, there is a lot to look forward to! This summer, each student will receive six, one-hour personalized lessons to learn about music theory and composing. At our October recital, they'll have the chance to play the pieces they wrote.
